FEATURE STORYBilly Casper Golf Establishes 'Buffalo Golf Trail' TravelGolf.com
Staff Report The Buffalo Golf Trail consists of 280 golf holes, primarily in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, that combine to offer a discount in fees to members of premier BCG-managed golf and country clubs. Members of BCG-managed clubs receive a 20-percent discount off greens and cart fees seven days a week (after 1 p.m. Fridays through Sundays and holidays) at the Buffalo Golf Trail's public and semi-private facilities. Members of BCG-managed private clubs also enjoy reciprocal playing privileges at the Buffalo Golf Trail's private clubs.
"The Buffalo Golf Trail is in response to golfers who play Billy Casper Golf courses," says Peter Hill, Chief Executive Officer of BCG. "They are consistently pleased with their experiences at our clubs and therefore play them repeatedly. So we created this program to reward their loyalty and to enhance the value they receive playing at Billy Casper Golf courses." Sixteen BCG golf properties comprise the inaugural Trail: 13 BCG public and semi-private golf properties and three private clubs. Clubs will be added as the company continues to grow its portfolio.

Why the Buffalo? When Billy Casper began a strict diet of buffalo meat he went on a winning streak - 51 PGA Tour victories in all - that assured him legendary golf status. This culinary peculiarity earned Casper the moniker "Buffalo Bill." The rest - including one Masters championship and two U.S. Open titles - is history.
