MIAMI (March 26, 2001) - Sol Meliá Hotels & Resorts are offering golf packages and discounts throughout Mexico and Costa Rica.

Discounts in Mexico are available at properties in Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos and Cancun.

The Meliá Puerto Vallarta All-Inclusive Beach Resort is offering guests reduced greens fees at the nearby Marina Golf Club. April 16 through May 31, 2001, the fee is $105. June through October, the fee is $85.

Rates at the Meliá Puerto Vallarta start at $150 per person per night, all-inclusive basis, based on double occupancy.

The Meliá Cabo Real Beach & Golf Resort in Los Cabos is offering three-night, four-day golf packages that include ocean view room with private balcony, daily buffet breakfast, one greens fee at the Robert Trent Jones II-designed Cabo Real Golf Course and one greens fee at the Jack Nicklaus-designed, oceanfront Eldorado course.

The rate for a double room with one player is $507, valid through June 14, 2001. June 15 through Oct. 14, 2001, the package is $368. Oct. 15 through Dec. 31, 2001, the package is available for $441. The rate for a double room with two golfers is $668, valid through June 14, 2001. June 15 through Oct. 14, 2001, the package is $456. Oct. 15 through Dec. 31, 2001, the package is available for $602. All double room rates are per person based on double occupancy.

The Meliá Cancun Beach & Spa Resort is offering discounts at its own, on-property executive golf course. Guests can enjoy unlimited golf on the nine-hole course, use of the practice range and golf equipment for $25 per day, valid through April 30, 2001.

The Meliá Playa Conchal All-Suite Beach & Golf Resort in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, features a three-day/two-night golf package starting at $519 for a single suite (one golfer), $579 for a double suite (one golfer/one non-golfer) and $729 for a double suite (two golfers) until April 15, 2001. An extra night is $209 per single/double suite (one golfer) and $259 per double suite (two golfers).

The package includes deluxe villa suite accommodations, a surprise welcome gift, lunch at the 19th Hole restaurant on both days, $10 casino chips, unlimited golf which includes greens fees, golf cart rental, golf balls for driving range use, yardage book, cleaning of golf clubs and shoes, two bottles of water and all applicable taxes.
